Matti Sutcliffe

Since 2017 I have been working together with other members of the Polygone Étoilé cinema collective and young filmmakers from the Massabo estate in la Joliette, Marseille.

We have made a number of films together, many of which have been selected in festivals across Europe.

It has been significant for me to experience the building of close personal and creative relationships through this long term artistic engagement and to see how such experiences have helped inform my individual practice.

Beyond the projects at in the Massabo estate I have also run workshops in schools, social centres, prisons and cultural spaces
